Often times when I meet people and they find out that I'm in the fitness industry they want to talk to me about their training routines. It's like I am a priest and they want to confess to me ! They'll say, "I'm doing Pilates is that any good ?" or "I'm taking a Spinning class, what do you think about that ?" I always say the same thing ,"that the BEST exercise is the one that you'll do."
I do feel that STRENGTH TRAINING is the foundation and core of any fitness program.Building your strength will then give you the confidence to go out and attempt some of these other types of training and classes that you might have been intimidated by and had previously been unable to perform.
Remember though that fitness isn't just about how strong you are or how fast or far you can run. It's about developing your balance, flexibility, agility and coordination. All of these should be addressed and included in a well rounded training program.
Remember,"FITNESS is for life."
